{"id":362,"date":"2023-05-12T20:05:22","date_gmt":"2023-05-12T20:05:22","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/grafarc.org\/news\/?p=362"},"modified":"2023-05-12T20:05:23","modified_gmt":"2023-05-12T20:05:23","slug":"subscription-to-mischief","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/grafarc.org\/news\/2023\/05\/subscription-to-mischief\/","title":{"rendered":"Subscription to Mischief"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Last weekend I got to attend the opening reception of a fantastic new exhibition put up by San Francisco&#8217;s Letterform Archive: <em><a href=\"https:\/\/letterformarchive.org\/news\/subscription-to-mischief-graffiti-zines-of-the-1990s-exhibition\/\">Subscription to Mischief<\/a><\/em> features a beautifully curated collection of photos, correspondence, and other ephemera from the dawn of graffiti zines in the 1990&#8217;s. It&#8217;s an amazing window into the pre-internet days when zines like <em>Skills<\/em>, <em>12 Oz Prophet,<\/em> and <em>Can Control<\/em> were the only way writers from around the world could learn about each other&#8217;s work. The exhibition runs until November 2023.
